artTalk | Betsy Eby on Encaustic Painting

Betsy Eby will discuss the medium of encaustic which involves layering heated beeswax and colored pigments using knives, brushes and a blowtorch. Trained as a classical pianist, she creates works that capture the movement and rhythms found in music and the natural world around her.
