Chalkfest is back for its third year! We are once again closing the street so artists of all ages and stages can drop by and make their mark. Draw a quick doodle or a detailed design to share with the community!

CHALK WALK

 

Calling all CREATIVES! The Lauren Rogers Museum invites artists to take part in the “Chalk Walk” at the 4th annual Chalkfest on Saturday, April 13th.  Show off your drawing skills, solo or with a group, by creating a 5’ x 5’ chalk design. From amateurs to experts, artists of all skill levels are invited to take part!

 

2024 Theme
Quilted in Creativity
In the spirit of the exhibition Handstitched Worlds: The Cartography of Quilts, participants are invited to create quilt-inspired chalk designs that represent their community spirit.

 

Schedule & Details:

9:00 am – 11:00 am: Designs Created
11:30 am: Judging
12:00 pm: Awards Announced

 

• There are no fees to participate!

•  1-24 pack of sidewalk chalk will be provided.
Participants are welcome to supply their own chalk as well.

• Designs must be family friendly.

• Artists/Groups will be recognized with event signage.

• Prizes and awards given for Most Colorful, Best Use of Theme and Visitors’ Choice

• Space is limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
