Workshop: Painting on Silk

Join fiber artist René Shoemaker to explore the craft of painting on silk. From stretching the silk and sketching the design to mixing dyes and applying the paint – participants will learn the tools and techniques of this ancient art. Each student will create a 22” square hemmed silk that be worn as a scarf or displayed as a wall hanging. No experience necessary and all supplies provided. Registration required.
